How Hayrider Works

Whether you're shipping livestock or hauling it, our platform makes the process simple, fast, and transparent.

For Shippers

Ship Your Livestock in 6 Steps

01

Create Your Account

Sign up as a shipper with your email or Google account. Set up your profile with your business information and primary shipping location. Verify your identity quickly and easily with Didit.

02

Post a Load

Enter your pickup and delivery locations, select the livestock type (cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs), specify the head count, and set your preferred dates and budget.

03

Review Bids

Haulers will review your load and submit bids. Compare each hauler's pricing, ratings, vehicle type, credentials, and specialty before making your choice.

04

Sign & Confirm

Accept the best bid and sign any requested contracts via DocuSign. Upload any required health certificates and documents directly through the platform.

05

Track in Real-Time

Once the hauler picks up your livestock, track the shipment live on a GPS map. Receive alerts for stops, hauler messages, and route deviations.

06

Receive & Pay

Confirm safe delivery of your livestock. Payment is released securely to the hauler through Stripe. Leave a rating to help the community. See how the payment process works here.

For Haulers

Start Hauling in 6 Steps

01

Create Your Profile

Sign up as a hauler and complete quick and easy Didit identity verification. Complete your profile with additional optional information that can be used as your own shareable business profile page.

02

Browse the Load Board

Search available livestock shipments by origin, destination, livestock type, space requirements, and budget. Filter to find loads that match your route and equipment.

03

Place a Bid

Submit a competitive bid on loads you want to haul. Include your proposed price and estimated pickup and delivery date.

04

Get Accepted & Sign

When a shipper accepts your bid, you'll receive a notification. You can now send any contracts or document requests to the shipper. Re-confirm your availability and send final confirmation to accept the load.

05

Haul with GPS Tracking

Pick up the livestock and update the status on the load to In-Transit. The platform automatically tracks your location, by enabling Location Services, providing the shipper with real-time visibility and confidence in your service.

06

Deliver & Get Paid

Complete the delivery, upload your proof of delivery, and get paid. Once delivery is confirmed by the shipper, your payment is released and transferred to your account, less the platform fees. Payments processed securely through Stripe.

Co-Shipping

How Co-Shipping Works

Share truck space to save money (shippers) and earn more (haulers). Here's an example.

1

Hauler Posts Available Space

A hauler heading from Texas to Montana has room for 10 more head. They post the available space, route, and dates on the co-shipping board.

2

Shipper Requests Space

A shipper with 8 cattle needs transport along a similar route. They find the posting, review the hauler's profile, and request to add their livestock.

3

Hauler Accepts & Coordinates

The hauler reviews the request, confirms compatibility, and accepts. Both parties sign a contract and coordinate pickup details.

4

Everyone Saves

The shipper pays a fraction of a full truckload price. The hauler earns revenue on space that would have gone empty. Win-Win.
